Privacy Policy
Effective 1 September 2026 · Version 1.0
What we do with personal information collected through this site and the Sports Agent app, who receives it, and how to exercise your rights over it.
Who we are
Sports Agent (“Sports Agent,” “we,” “us,” “our”) makes a sports app that follows the teams, players and games you care about and tells you when something worth looking up happens.
This policy explains what we do with personal information collected through sportsagent.me and any subdomain of it (the “Site”) and through the Sports Agent mobile app (the “App”). For the purposes of the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation, Sports Agent is the controller of the personal information described here.

What this policy covers, and what it does not
This policy covers the Site and the App.
It does not cover the streaming services, TV providers and sportsbooks the App points you to. When you tap through to one of those, you are on their property under their terms and their privacy policy. See section 7.
It does not cover the leagues, broadcasters or data providers whose scores and schedules we show. That information is about games, not about you.
What we collect
Information you give us.
- The waitlist. Your email address. That is the only field the form asks for, and the only one we store from it.
- The support form. Your email address and your message, plus your name and the topic if you fill them in. Name and topic are optional; we ask for them only so a reply reaches you and lands with the right person. Please leave out any sensitive detail you do not need us to have in order to help.
- Your account. An email address and password, or the identifier Apple or Google returns when you choose to sign in that way.
- What you follow. The sports, teams and players you pick, and the alerts you set on them. This is the product: without it there is nothing to send you.
- Where you watch. The streaming services and TV provider you tell us you have, and the market you watch from, so the App can tell you where a game is on rather than guessing.
Information collected automatically.
- On the Site, our hosting provider records the usual request information: pages viewed, browser and device type, and the referring page. When you join the waitlist or send us a support message we store a one-way hash of your IP address, never the address itself. Its only use is spotting abuse of those forms.
- In the App, delivering a push notification requires a device token issued by Apple or Google. That token identifies a device to the notification service; it does not identify you to them.
Cookies and analytics. We run no analytics product on the Site. We set no advertising, marketing or analytics cookies, and we use no tracking pixels. Any cookie set is strictly necessary to deliver the page you requested. Because no cookies are set and no persistent identifier is stored, the Site shows no cookie banner.
What we do not collect. We do not operate payment processing and do not hold card details. We do not take wagers or hold funds. We do not buy personal information about you from data brokers.
Why we use it
Purpose Information used UK/EU lawful basis Sending the alerts you set Teams, players and alerts you chose; device token Performance of a contract Telling you where a game is on Services you told us you have; your market Performance of a contract Creating and securing your account Email address or sign-in identifier Performance of a contract Telling you when we launch Waitlist email address Consent Answering a support message Your email, message, and any name and topic you gave Performance of a contract, or legitimate interests in answering people who write to us Operating and protecting the Site and App Technical and log information Legitimate interests in keeping the service up Meeting legal and tax obligations Whatever is relevant Legal obligation Establishing or defending legal claims Whatever is relevant Legitimate interests Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered whether your rights override those interests and concluded they do not for the uses above. You can ask us for that assessment.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising, as those terms are defined under US state privacy law. We do not use it for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We have not done any of these things in the twelve months before the effective date of this policy.
Sports data, odds and the links we show
Scores, schedules, play-by-play and broadcast listings come from licensed sports data providers. Requesting them tells those providers nothing about you.
Where the App shows betting odds it shows them aggregated across books. We do not offer betting, take wagers or hold funds. Opening a book takes you into that company’s own app or site, where their terms and privacy policy apply and ours stop. We may earn a referral fee when you do; that fee never changes the order books are shown in.
The same is true of streaming services. We tell you where a game is on and hand you off; what happens after the hand-off is between you and them.
International transfers
We operate from the United States and our service providers are located primarily in the United States. If you contact us or use the App from the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, your information will be transferred to and stored in the United States.
Where we transfer personal information out of the UK or the EEA, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses together with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension where the recipient is certified under it. You can request a copy of the safeguards we use.
How long we keep it
- Waitlist addresses: until launch, or until you ask us to remove you, whichever comes first. Then deleted.
- Support messages: 24 months from the day the matter is closed, so we can pick up a thread you come back to. Ask us to delete yours sooner and we will.
- Hashed IP addresses from the waitlist and support forms: 12 months.
- Your account and what you follow: for as long as your account is open. Delete your account and we delete them within 30 days.
- Server and security logs: 90 days.
How we protect it
Access is limited to the people who need it, the systems that hold it require multi-factor authentication, and everything is encrypted in transit. Vendors are chosen on their security posture rather than their price.
One concrete example: the waitlist and support tables accept inserts and nothing else. The key the website carries cannot read either back, change them or delete from them, so a leak of that key would not expose a single address or a single message.
No transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we do not represent that the Site or the App is immune from compromise.
Your rights
If you are in the United States. Depending on your state, you may have the right to confirm whether we process personal information about you, to access it, to correct it, to delete it, to obtain a portable copy, and to opt out of sale, targeted advertising or profiling. We do not sell, target advertising or profile, so that last right has nothing to operate on here. We honor these requests wherever you live, whether or not your state requires it of us.
If we decline a request you may appeal by writing to us with “Privacy appeal” in the subject line. We will respond within 60 days with our decision and the reasons for it. If we deny the appeal you may contact the Attorney General of your state.
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area. You have the right to access your personal information, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where we rely on consent. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office; in the EEA, the authority where you live or work.
How to exercise any of these. Email hello@sportsagent.mewith “Privacy request” in the subject line. We verify identity in proportion to the sensitivity of the request, usually by confirming it from the address we already hold. We respond within 45 days in the United States and within one month in the UK and EEA, and we will tell you if we need an extension and why. There is no charge unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
We will not treat you differently for exercising any of them.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from inside the App, in Settings. Deleting it removes your profile, the teams and players you follow, and the alerts you set, within 30 days.
If you cannot get into the App, email hello@sportsagent.me from the address on the account and we will do it for you. See Support.
Automated decisions
We do not make decisions about you by automated means that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Age
The App shows betting odds and links to sportsbooks, so it is intended for people 18 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We will post any change here and update the version and date at the top. Where a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will contact you before it takes effect. Previous versions are available on request.
